PERRIN 08-09 STI 22mm Adjustable Front Sway Bar - PSP-SUS-124
Overview
Add a PERRIN Adjustable Front Swaybar to your 2011-2014 WRX & 2008-2014 STI. Adding a swaybar is the easiest way to improve the handling of your vehicle.
Size
PERRIN Swaybars come in two different sizes: 22mm and 25mm. Driving enthusiasts will enjoy the feel of a 22mm bar while true-spirited drivers will like the rigidity of the 25mm.
Adjustability
PERRIN Swaybars incorporate multiple endlink mounting holes which allow the installer to custom tailor your driving experience. This PERRIN Swaybar increases stiffness by a minimum of 50% overstock. Adjusting the end link mounting position on this swaybar can increase that stiffness to as much as 215% over stock.
Centering Rings
PERRIN Swaybars feature centering rings that prevent swaybar movement in hard cornering. This keeps your swaybar centered and ready for the next corner.
Construction
PERRIN Swaybars are CNC precision bent from solid 4130 chromoly steel. The entire bar is heavily powder coated to fight corrosion and give it a great red finish. We laser cut and MIG weld our bar ends for precise placement and superior strength. This type of bar end will never fail and offer you a lifetime of superior handling.
Bushings
All PERRIN Swaybars include custom polyurethane bushings for a crisp response and better turn in. Special spiral cut pockets carved into the bushing surface extends the interval between re-greasing. All of our bushings include a grease packet for your swaybar installation.
What Is A Swaybar And How It Works
Wikipedia describes a swaybar as "an automobile suspension device. It connects opposite (left/right) wheels together through short lever arms linked by a tosion spring. A swaybar increases the suspension's roll stiffness--its resistance to roll in turns, independent of its spring rate in the vertical direction."
